I’m not sure that Sydney will ever recover from all the artists that we’re in town for the Outpost festival.. I know I still haven’t. Lister’s Solo show opened the night after Outpost at an an abandoned sex shop. I got to chill and have some beers while Frosty got some tatts done by Prizm. [...]
Here’s a promo I cut of footage of Pastemodernism II, the next one’s going to be on cockatoo island, it’ll be killer. Pastemodernism on Vimeo on Vimeo via Pastemodernism on Vimeo.
After spending many nights with Simon Lovelace at the Oxford Art Factory having a bev and admiring others work, I jumped at the chance to film the process when Simon’s turn came. The talking didn’t make the cut, but was really interested to hear how much of his art skills had roots in his days [...]
Brains and boogie! ”Already familiar with the Oxford Art Factory’s typical debauched state, the idea of a book reading here conjured thoughts of drunken sea shanty prose being read to a dirty guitar backing; flagon in hand DBC Piere reciting verse to the cheers of the crowd as Gareth Liddiard strummed away… This fantasy faded as faced [...]

Having lots of fun. My Ben Frost collab Boob Tube went well at the Sydney Fringe Festival. There was excellent cheese at the opening. Looking forward to developing it further. The excellent cheese appreciation and the film. The Saint Augustine Academy short fashion film I directed premiered to controversy on Pedestrian. Chaingang’s latest music video [...]

“Walking through Surry Hills on Saturday I was struck by familiar artwork in the window of Mils Gallery. It was Leah Fraser‘s latest solo show ‘I am the cosmos’, I recognized her work from a previous exhibition which was also my favorite show at Black and Blue gallery.” Leah Fraser “I am the cosmos” at Mils Gallery [...]

Vote for Kalindy’s (kmillions) photo on Canon EOS photochains. All you have to do is create an account and click on the pickture that looks like this. The link should take you there. Just like Marissa to jump in puddles and make a mess… and look like a babe while doing it.
I wrapped as DOP on a short film for NIDA directing student Stephen Nicolazzo. Definitely going to hit the festival circuit. Chookas guys! The dutch tilt making me seasick.. Stephen and I are holding on tight so that we don’t fall out of frame, dunno how Larry is doing it. For some reason he’s observing [...]
the Herald featured me in an article on the creative community based in the bulding where I have my studio.

Ben Frost’s solo show ‘Lost in the Supermarket’ is opening this Thursday at the Boutwell Draper Gallery in Sydney. Here’s a quick promo I made for it.
Earlier in the year Kiss Kiss & Lukasz made the timebomb interactive video grafitti wall for the MCA. It featured the work of Maddi Boyd, DMOTE, Ben Frost, Kid Zoom, Numskull, Roach, Creon, John Doe and Bennett. Through motion tracking it allowed users to peel back timelapse layers of graffitti. They’ve upped the ante this time [...]

It’s really strange that the Hoey’s future is uncertain. Especially with all this talk of relaxed licences. Was feeling like we were entering a bright new period of support for the arts in Sydney, and that there’d be a mass migration of all the young hip arty things back home to Sydney after their fling [...]
The opening for Chris Petro and Stephanie Overs‘ show ‘Magic Shit Happens’ was great. I’m biased because it included a video installation I collab’d with them on. Check it out at blankspace if you in the hood. Ps. Thanks to Simon for running a great space.
Her work had left an impact on me; an absurd yet erotic fusion of fashion and the money shot, sublime when something similar by an other’s hand would fall into puerility. … Ariel asked me to edit a clip out of a tape shot by a waiter when she was body painting her muse Tiah Eckhardt at the opening of her Perth solo show.

The institute of excellent played match maker and Oliver Heath and Bz from buzzbomb media collab’d with Ben Frost to make a video installation for his London show. It was projected onto a wall at bricklane. We’re trying to track down some pics of the show, but in the meantime here’s some from the shoot. [...]
See Frosty and Kiss Kiss decorating at world’s end. Props to their print shop stupid krap
